We’re On Our Way To a NEW SEASON!

Worship Service to be Taped for T.V. on December 17th!

O n Sunday, December 17th, we will record our first worship service for airing on television. To God be the glory! KPLE TV (cable Channel 45 and UHF Channel 31) a part of the TBN network, will make preparation this week for the landmark event in the life of the church.

Now is the time to release into the world the message and ministry that God is manifesting in this place. We have declared that “God is moving in this place” and we need to share the witness of His move with others. Now is the time to see your families and friends come into the arc of safety and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Now is the time to escalate the work to increase our intensity and outreach for the glory of God. We are asking for 20 partners who will share $100 to underwrite the cost of sharing this new avenue in ministry! They will be listed in the program.

The Cathedral Mass Choir (consisting of members of all adult choirs) will minister in music. The final rehearsal for Sunday is Thursday, December 14th @ 7:00 p.m. The Cathedral Dancers will share in the ministry of dance. The worship celebration will air on Sunday, December 31st from 6-7:00 p.m. just in time to touch lives who are preparing for the New Year. The Worship Celebrations will be @ 10:30 a.m. & Watching for the Word will be @ 10:00 p.m. with the Love Feast @ 9:30 p.m.

What Did You Bring Jesus for His Birthday?

Again this year, we are sharing a Birthday Gift for Jesus’ (Christmas Offering). What shall we do? Just as the wise men came bearing gifts in WORSHIP, we will bear gifts to the King of Kings! What shall we bring? Wise men brought Him gold ($100), frankincense ($50), and myrrh($25). Let’s bring the Lord a gift to bless His work. Special envelopes will be available each Sunday during the month of Advent. Gleaners will be available for our children and youth. Start giving something today towards His work. The culmination of this giving season will be Sunday December 24th! Remember, it is the celebration of His birthday!

Christmas Taping Set for Monday December 11th @ 7!

M onday, December 11th @ 7:00 we have been requested by Sister Catherine Mason, General Manager of KPLE, to share a Christmas program for airing during this Christmas season. The Men of Valor will share in song; the Cathedral Dancers will share in dance. The air time of the program will be announced.

21st Century Renovation on the Way!

T he 2nd Annual Leadership Retreat yielded many rich experiences for us. One of the instructions that came to us by the Spirit of the Lord was concerning the utilization of our present facilities to their maximum capacity. God’s Word commands us to be faithful and informs us that when we are faithful in a few things, God will put many things in our hands (Matt. 25:23). While the Multi-Purpose Center is still on the horizon, we must first look to fill and fulfill the Lord’s mission and vision in our present facilities. To do so to the glory of God, we will need to modernize our present facilities. In the first quarter of 2007, we will begin to look at viable opportunities to renovate our present facilities. The season has changed!

Last Sunday we received the first gifts for what will be called the Renovation Fund. These gifts were unsolicited, but were given by those who heard us speak of renovation plans and felt inspired to sow seed immediately. This fund will again be a restricted fund to be used for the renovation of our present edifice to the glory of God. While we have not officially launched the capital campaign for this effort, feel free to share your gifts using your regular envelopes. Simple indicate “renovation” in the section marked other and your gifts will be earmarked for that fund. Of course, we will have monthly reports in the Official Board meetings and in our literature on the state of the Renovation Fund. Look for more information beginning in 2007!
